I work in an AMERICAN Automotive factory and I can tell you that we work 12 hour overnight shifts, standing 11 hours a day because we get 3 short 10 minute breaks plus a 30 minute lunch "break". It's hot in the summer because there's no AC and cold in the winter because they don't always turn on the heat. We also work 6-8 days straight on occasion depending on how we're scheduled. We don't live at work and the pay is better but the conditions aren't that different than China. We also don't have a union and the company and state are both highly anti-union.

I can't tell if this guy likes it or hates it . The jovial music doesn't help.

I was reading a story the other day about how a Taiwan factory opened up in America. The managers cannot understand why American workers don’t want to work 16 hour days and be on call 24 seven. Two them work is more important than family or mental health. That is why in China you see couples, leaving their kids with the grandparents to raise because mom and dad are working nonstop in the factories. It’s a very sad existence.

As an American I can say I've worked for seemingly worse bussniss. 12 hour shifts with no brakes, no over time pay, ect ect so all things considered they could be treating there 70k workers alot worse
