Hey, where can I buy the Sierra Nevada panela that supports the indigenous people the most? I want to get that, to hell with cheap brands and sugar, I want to sponsor communities and fare labors.
In Colombia it is not expensive
In India we call it Gur/Jaggery specially in winters.

Im wondering what business insider get from lying? Its not that expensive here in ph and its produced and still use here in ph for traditional cooking and some beverage. Because of its bar forms its not easy to quantitate like i tablespoon of granular sugar. But that doesnt mean its rare and expensive and hard to produce so dont lie.

Here in Brazil, mainly in the northeast of the country, there is a large production of these "sugar bricks" that we call "rapadura". They can be pure, like this one from Sierra Nevada, or mixed with coconut, pineapple, etc. Pure "Rapadura", when ground, turns into brown sugar. In Brazil it is a cheap product. A kilo of brown sugar costs around 5 dollars.
I don't use anything in my coffee albeit I will try that!

In Ecuador is called panela or raspadura, it is very cheap. You can make alcoholic drinks and desserts with it too.
In india its been made from centuries and called as GUR it is used in liquid as well as Solid form made from Palm tree juice,Sugar can juice.
